Work as a Remedy Good Practices Book EN

Michal , 25 When he came to us at the age of twenty-five, with a university degree, he delivered leaflets as a part-timer. He was clear about life's values, which also included employment. From the beginning you could see that he was determined to have a job. Michal tried various jobs in his life, but it didn´t feel quite right anywhere. He successfully studied journalism, had experience in writing articles and on the radio, however, he found out quite quickly that this work was probably not what he could devote himself to in life. Michal suffers from Asperger's syndrome, the symptoms of which include a different perception of the world, problems with establishing and maintaining relationships and communication. Other typical manifestations include the absence of abstract thinking and misunderstanding of non-verbal communication, such as facial expression, gestures or tone of voice. He did not feel comfortable in a team, and he chose most leisure activities so that he could be alone while doing them.
